The radiation therapy certificate program in Arizona should take students 13 month (Start in August, graduate in September) after completing 54 credits. Based on current tuition costs, an instate student will pay just a bit under $6000 for the entire program. Students will be eligible to take the ARRT certification exam upon graduating from the program. This is the only RT program currently avaliable in the state.

Program Requirements

This radiation therapy program is only available for individuals that are already certified for Medical Radiography (X-Ray Tech) by the ARRT. Students must complete the program with at least a 2.5 GPA

Typical Curriculum

Since this degree requires students to have prior experience in Radiography, students will jump straight into RT professional courses such as:

  • Radiation Oncology
  • Radiation Therapy I: Physics and Calculations
  • Radiation Therapy Patient Care

For the program in the AZ radiation therapy school, you will also learn safety measures because of the delicate nature of the equipment and work. In addition to spending around 20 credits in a clinical lab setting.
