Baker offers a 4 year Bachelor’s degree program in Radiation Therapy held the the Jackson campus. The program is designed based to help students pass the ARRT RT certification exam. Students may complete the core and prerequisites courses on part-time basis, but upon acceptance of the professional program. While attending the RT therapy program at Grand Valley state college, students will receive didactic, laboratory, and clinical experiences in both existing and emerging radiation therapy practices and procedures, including treatment planning, simulation, quality assurance, brachytherapy, external beam therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, intraoperative radiation therapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy, and total body irradiation.

To be accepted in to the certificate program at Beaumont, students must hold at an minimum, a Associate degree. Unlike many certificate program, applicants do not need to hold a Radiography certificate from ARRT. In addition to the AS degree requirements, students must also complete prerequisites with at least a 3.0 GPA. Prerequisites include: Anatomy, Physiology, Human Anatomy and Physiology Lab, Physics I, Physics II, Physics Lab, Pr-calculus, Medical Terminology, Medical Law and Ethics, Written Communication, and Introduction to Computers (or proof of proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Also, individuals must complete at least 100 documented volunteer hours for direct-patient contact prior to start of the program.
